The company was controlled by Procter & Gamble from 2003 until it was sold to Coty Inc. Coty is a world leader in beauty and home to an illustrious roster of cosmetic, skincare, and fragrance brands.
Coty's "Color by YOU" app project was designed to help customers visualize what their hair would look like after purchasing and using their products.The application allows users to select a photo of hair similar to their own and use their finger as a brush to apply color on the app. Based on the user's painting on the faux-hair template, the app then recommends the amount of product needed to achieve the desired look.
